Datum Works was founded by Andrew Roberts, a highly skilled joiner and site manager with more than 25 years’ experience across the joinery, construction and renewable energy industries.

Andy began his career as a joiner in the UK, working on a wide range of projects from bespoke residential work to large commercial fit-outs. His craftsmanship and eye for detail led him to join a national pub chain, where he was responsible for creating and fitting custom bars across the country. His success on the tools soon evolved into project management, overseeing the full build of multiple venues and coordinating large teams to deliver high-quality finishes on time and within budget.

Seeking new challenges, Andy spent over a decade working across Europe and Australia in wind farm and construction site management, leading complex international projects and large multi-disciplinary teams. This experience strengthened his leadership, planning and safety management skills, qualities that now underpin every project he delivers.

After returning home to North Wales, Andy went back to what he loves most: hands-on joinery, problem-solving, and building with precision. Combining his trade expertise with his extensive management background, he founded Datum Works, a business built on the values of quality workmanship, reliability, and pride in every detail.

Based in Conwy, Datum Works offers joinery, carpentry, and site management services across Conwy, North Wales and the UK. Andy’s goal is simple: to deliver exceptional craftsmanship with the professionalism and efficiency of a well-run site, no job too big or too small.
